The first works are now underway at 30 Marsh Wall, with the scaffolding and hoarding being erected around the existing building. Cadent Gas and UKPN will be disconnecting the existing building’s gas and electricity supplies. These works start on 3rd October and are expected to take two weeks to complete.
To enable the utility works, a section of Cuba Street footpath nearest to the site will be closed and will remain closed to facilitate the scaffold and hoarding. Marsh Wall footpath will be reduced in width however a through route will be maintained along the footpath during the initial stages of the development.
The footpaths will be diverted to the other side of each road, which will be fully accessible.
Cuba Street will also be closed while these initial works are underway and is expected to reopen on 17th October. Demolition of the existing building is expected to start on 17th October, and will take approximately 16 weeks to complete.
